In 1921, not long after Husky Stadium was completed, there was a murder case that became a national media sensation. The crime scene was adjacent to the University Bridge. Historylink has an interesting essay about it that you can read here. I had never heard of it before, so it’s interesting to think that at one time the entire country was engrossed by it.
