Recently I was commissioned by Historylink.org to write an essay on the history of Husky football. It runs from the 1890s when the UW campus was located in downtown Seattle to the present day with embattled Coach Tyrone Willingham.

You insist on stating that Dobie was paid the salary of $3000/year to start at UW in 1908. This is always presented as some “phenomenal” salary. Your number is wrong, in fact it is wrong by more than a factor of double.
